Asiva® Sharpen or Blur Universal Binary Plug-in

The Asiva® Sharpen or Blur Universal Binary Plug-in runs under Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 only, on Mac OS X 10.4.8 or 10.4.9, PowerPC® G4 or G5 or multicore Intel processor. Within Photoshop® CS3, the plug-in supports 8 or 16-bit, RGB or CMYK files.

Asiva® Sharpen or Blur Universal Binary is a Plug-In filter for Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 featuring two distinct filters, similar in functionality to the Sharpen and Blur tools in Photoshop. It operates internally at 16-bits/component regardless of the input image's bit depth.

Where Asiva differs is its ability to create variable sharpening or blurring based upon variations in Hue, Saturation and Intensity. By defining Curves on the Hue, Saturation and Intensity components, the user can control the Sharpening or Blurring of an image, individually or in any combination of color components. Control not only the distribution but also the quality and quantity of the filter applied.

Built-in Color Sampler Tool allows for accurate sampling of the colors in the image that sharpening or blurring is to be applied. With respect to Blurring, Asiva Sharpen or Blur is unique in that is stays within the boundaries of the selected colors. This is particularly important for softening flesh tones, where spill-over softening is unacceptable.
