For Immediate Release Contact: Roland Lee Vice President, Marketing Shapiro Consulting Group, Inc. (888) 800-5508 Asiva Shift+Gain Plug-In For Photoshop Released Shapiro Consulting Group, Inc., (SCGI), Austin, Texas, announced today that it has released it's third plug-in. The new plug-in called Asiva Shift+Gain Component will be shown at the upcoming Photoshop World tradeshow in Miami. The Asiva Shift+Gain Component plug-in is based on SCGI's patented image enhancement technology that uses curves to allow operators to make selections based on the Hue, Saturation and Luminance components of a pixel, allowing users to perform color changes without time-consuming masks. After selection is done, very accurate adjustments of the Hue, Saturation, Value and RGB/CMYK components of that selection can then be made. Asiva's curves also allow for filter roll-offs so all effects appear completely natural. A built-in Color Sampler Tool provides a good starting-point for setting the three curves and all filter settings may be saved and loaded. All Asiva products feature 16-bit per component internal processing, even on 8-bit images. This provides 256 times the bandwidth and precision of 8-bit processing. Asiva Shift+Gain Component runs under Mac OS 9.x, Mac OS X, Windows 2000, and Windows XP®. It has been tested with Photoshop 5.5 through 7.0. Within Photoshop, the plug-in supports 8 or 16-bit, RGB or CMYK files. Asiva Shift+Gain will retail for USD$69.00. Asiva's patented technology has been used extensively in broadcast video editing work in the past six years and is embodied in the company's 16-bit per component Asiva Photo color correction and image enhancement application. Asiva Photo has been very popular with high-end digital photographers, graphics artists and visual information specialists in the government, military and medical sectors.
