"We're very excited because this release takes us one step closer to the upcoming release of Asiva Digital Video. Among other enhancements, version 1.2.0 will allow the user to view, move and edit all regions associated with any correction or enhancement operation," says Roland Lee, vice president, marketing, for SCGI. As usual this new version will be available at no charge to all registered users of Asiva® Photo. Asiva® Photo - currently available for Mac OS 8.6 to 9.xx and OS X, allows photographers, graphic artists and desktop publishing professionals to have true 16 bit per component control over their images. "Asiva Photo works native in 16-bit per component RGB/CMYK, which essentially gives the user 65,536 levels for each component as opposed to 256 levels in an 8-bit world. This 16-bit architecture, combined with our patented Asiva® technology affords the user incredible control over the image and to make precise and natural enhancements without the use of masks," says SCGI chief technology officer Kevin Gordon. Unlike other color correction applications, Asiva® Photo also works with proxies of the original image files so user can make all their creative decisions on extremely large image files without being burdened by slow on-screen rendering time. All operations and sequences of operations that are defined by the user can be saved, edited or used for other images of a similar type. For further information, visit www.asiva.com. |
