For Immediate Release Contact: Roland Lee Vice President, Marketing Shapiro Consulting Group, Inc. (888) 800-5508 Asiva® Photo OSX Version On Track For November Release. Shapiro Consulting Group, Inc., (SCGI), of Austin, Texas announced today that it has completed development on the OSX version of it's popular Asiva® Photo application and that it is currently undergoing beta testing. The new version, Asiva® Photo 1.1 is expected to be available no later than 29thth November 2001. "Our preliminary tests indicate that Asiva® Photo is running considerably faster under OSX and without noticeable loss in performance while running in the classic environment." says Roland Lee, vice president, marketing, for SCGI. "The new version will be available at no charge to all registered users of Asiva® Photo." Asiva® Photo - currently available for Mac OS 8.6 to 9.xx, allows photographers, graphic artists and desktop publishing professionals to make color corrections and enhancements that are almost impossible using other software. "Asiva Photo approaches image processing in a whole new way, without the use of masks," says SCGI chief technology officer Kevin Gordon. "By not using masks, you never have to worry about unnatural edges and their inherent problems. Sometimes even creating a mask would take many hours, and the result still wouldn't be acceptable looking. With Asiva, no masks are needed and the result is a photo that looks completely natural." Asiva also lets the artist soften and sharpen objects, increase saturation, brighten or darken areas and create special effects. For further information, visit www.asiva.com. |
